History of Brillhart Pump Station
1849 – Steam Pumping Station on Codorus Main Branch at Kings Mill Road and Penn Street
1896 – Construction of new Steam Pumping Station on the Codorus South Branch
- Purer water source upstream from confluence with the West Branch
- Larger pumping capacity
- Location along railroad track for coal supply
1899 – Construction of first Filtration Plant on Grantley Hill
Rock Crib Dam with 12 CFS Conservation Release
